Kanban beyond the board: A Workshop based introduction to Flow and Agility continued…..

Kanban is often misunderstood as simply a visual board where sticky notes move from “To Do” to “Done.” Kanban is a powerful method for managing work, grounded in systems thinking, flow efficiency, and continuous improvement.

In this highly interactive session, participants will go beyond theory to experience Kanban in action. Using engaging simulations, we will explore Kanban’s principles, practices, and policies in diverse contexts. We will look at a couple of examples from the wide range of use cases, such as crafting pizzas, planning events, delivering IT projects, managing hiring in HR, tracking expenses in Finance, or handling daily operations in Admin, etc. You will experience how visualizing work, limiting WIP, and improving flow can streamline processes and boost team adaptability.

Participants will:
• Map value streams
• Define and apply explicit policies
• Practice limiting work in progress (WIP)
• Leverage feedback loops to enable adaptive, learning-focused teams

Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, team leads, executives, and professionals from HR, Finance, and Admin functions will gain practical insights into applying Kanban across diverse domains. The workshop also highlights how Scrum teams can enhance flow and predictability by integrating Kanban practices into their existing framework.
