Often times “DevOps” is seen as CI/CD pipelines, tools, and platforms. I actually believe it is much simpler than that. I would like everyone to see DevOps as a concept that helps move the code from a developer’s machine to a production server. This could be done in multiple ways from git pull and service restarts to custom scripts and automated pipelines, we’ll explore how different teams ship software, the risks hidden in “simple” deployments, and how speed and automation can amplify both success and failure.
He want to walk away with the thought that DevOps is not just about the tools, but the process of taking the code along the path to production.
