Session Title: “Going beyond Agile – Lessons from Large programs” by Hrishikesh Karekar (India Agile Community Leader, Capgemini)
Abstract: While we as agilists are focused on leveraging the several practices and frameworks, creating psychological safety, self-organization, empowerment and learning cultures; large programs for true agility would require all of that but much more. We need to go beyond agile to achieve true agility. The session will share experiences from my own experience leading large programs – creating truly agile organizations beyond just the practices implementation. Participants will get insights into areas they need to develop as leaders and build high performing teams that achieve true agility.
Key Takeaways:
1. Self Learning areas for program leaders leading large implementation.
2. Know competencies that need to be developed in your teams while managing large programs.
3. Understanding what true agility is all about.

Session Title: “Quest Beyond Agile” by Makarand Upasani(Program Manager, Principal Financial Group)
Abstract: Industry is going through a demanding change. To cope up, organizations moved to Agile. The change made leaders think beyond Agile. It was applicable to Principal Financial Group as well. We studied patterns of successful organizations and tried to learn from them. This learning gave us a direction to
work towards:
1. The mindset of people
2. Change approach from outputs to outcomes
3. Always build for change
4. Product mindset
5. Customer centricity and so on
I learnt a lot while leading the transformation team at Pune for one of the Principal’s business pillars. I will be sharing my experience and challenges in driving the transformation. I’ll talk about the concepts
and methods we’ve learnt from other organizations. We have had several roadblocks, challenges and failures thru the journey. Participants will get insights into how we experimented to get to new ways of doing things and how some of those helped us. Some of the key takeaways from the session would be:
1. New ways to create the mindset and culture shifts
2. Key challenges for the organization on the journey of beyond Agile
3. How as leaders can you make a difference
