It helps the top leaders and decision-makers in managing the pressure of performance. Also, it aids in effectively tackling the radical digital revolution taking place due to the constant introduction of emerging technologies.
Total Football Team (TFT) talent management methodology is one such tactical approach, using which, organizations can accelerate the time-cycle of designing any digital product. These teams are highly agile, updated on emerging technologies, and display ownership. They are dynamic, coachable, collaborative, high on performance, motivated, and committed. Hence, their presence in a project helps in better ideation, faster implementation, and flawless introduction of solutions.
Consequently, the product ends up being much more cost-effective, sustainable, and scalable. It was during the author’s stint at one of the top-media houses of India that he first learned about the use of Total Football Team for more innovative and faster designing of products. Many years later, he implemented this tactical method while working on one of his most ambitious projects, ‘OKAS’ – The first human-centric home automation system. The outcomes were amazing. Not only that the Total Football Team was highly productive during the design thinking and the development of the product, but it also turned instrumental in making the overall environment within the organization positive, enthusiastic, and motivated.
TFT is basically a cross-functional team, where the members are coached in a way so that they can interchange the roles of each other and handhold with every other department in the organization.
