Tahsin Zahid

Tahsin has been working in Vocational and skill development sector for the last 17 years at various senior-level positions.

Have worked in startup ventures throughout the entire career and thus has a vast experience in conceptualizing business ideas, brand management, operations, hiring of the team and creating SOPs. In education and employability domain has worked for brands like WLC (Head – Marketing), IILM (Dy. Director and Business Head), MAPLES International Aviation Institute (C.O.O), Gras Education Ltd. (Founder Director & CEO), Cap Foundation, Café coffee Day (Advisor-Skills Development) and Tech Mahindra-Saral Rozgar (Business Head). His last assignment was as a Business head for Saral Rozgar (Tech Mahindra), employability platform for entry-level jobseekers. He has also been the business advisor to Lohia Corp for setting up their skills venture. Currently, he is the C.O.O for the Sports sector skill council (SPEFL-SC)-January 2018 onwards.

Having an entrepreneur bend of mind has always helped him in generating new out of box ideas and business acumen clubbed together are his primary strengths, creating the entire business platform including headhunting for people, brand development, PR and target numbers has always excited him.

Apart from his routine work and professional career, he has been actively involved with various other forums, such as being the founder Chair for Skills at PHD Chambers of commerce and Industry, member Education Committee at PHDCCI, member of the Board of Apprenticeship and training under Ministry of HRD, member board for Chattisgarh skills development mission and getting closely associated with CBSE board on vocational education has helped him in learning new development in the Industry and certainly has given mileage to his brands.

Tahsin has also been the recipient of ‘Young Achievers’ award from Shericon for contribution in the field of employable education and has also been the finalist of Economic Times ‘Power of Idea’s’-2009. He has played cricket at district level, has been a sports enthusiast and believes sports shall be an integral part of life for the holistic development of any individual.

He has been writing various articles in media on skilling and one of his articles in the New York Times on India being the skilled manpower Hub of 21st Century was widely appreciated.
